Rayleen, (01)
Thanks for the update, that's great news. I need to contact Selim at CHM
today to see what type of Linux machine he has available and identify its
IP address. (02)
Peter and Johathan: We haven't had a chance to discuss this, but would it
be useful for a couple of us to install and run Augment Systems on our own
Linux PCs? The reason I ask is that It's not clear at this point how Selim
will be able to set up outside access to the museum machine, and it may
take him a while to work this out. Running our own copies might also give
us a better handle on installation issues, and also enable us to start
gaining expertise in using Augment in preparation for the next step in the
project. An alternative would be for me to put a machine on our network to
host our working group, and start using Augment to collaborate. Any
comments on this idea? (03)
Rayleen: Would it be difficult for you to configure multiple installations,
or better yet teach us how to do that so we can document it as part of the
deliverable? (04)
Ken: You mentioned that you'll be back on June 23rd (I presume you're
already gone and won't be able to respond). What needs to be done on your
part to configure an installable emulator for installing Augment? Would it
be better to have separate emulator and Augment installation packages, or a
single package with everything together? Would you be available the week
of June 27th to complete whatever needs to be done on your side? BTW, have
you spent any time thinking about what it would take to create a version of
the emulator for Windows XP or MacOS X? (05)
