John,    (01)

A couple of issues on the legal front.    (02)

1. I'd appreciate it if you could contact Sally to encourage her to
wrap things up with Boeing. She needs to get Kathy at Boeing to
write a letter restating what she told Sally on the phone for our records.    (03)

2. Based on Jonathan Cheyer's communications with Simon Garrett at
BT, it appears that BT transferred ownership of NLS/Augment passed
with other assets formerly from Tymnet/Tymshare to MCI in
1993-4. Jonathan has asked Simon to draft a memo similar to the one
we're trying to get from Boeing. That means we need to initiate
communications with MCI/Verizon.    (04)

One idea that someone floated was to ask Vint Cerf to get involved to
help us navigate the system. Do you think this would be productive?
If so, are you or one of the board members well enough acquainted
with him to make an initial contact and introduction? Can you think
of any other CHM "friends" who have good enough connections at
MCI/Verizon to help out?    (05)

Best regards,    (06)
