I did some more poking around to see if I could figure out how best to
support the keysets in Mac OS X.  I turned up most of what Phil turned
up (link above).  I also confirmed that FreeBSD works mostly like
Linux for handling joysticks, but that Apple decided to eschew that
approach altogether.  (*grumble*)  My conclusions are at:    (03)
