You had mentioned earlier that you and Vint know each other well. 
That's why I thought a casual note from you thanking him for agreeing 
to help us wouldn't be out of the ordinary.  He is a very busy 
person, so I think that a personal touch would be very helpful.    (01)

Here's the note that I sent Ken.  I inadvertently CCd the 
nls-archives list rather than the nls-legal list, so you didn't have 
the opportunity to see it on January 26th. Ken forwarded this note, 
together with a similar one that Jonathan Cheyer wrote about the same 
time, on to Vint. He told Ken that he would see what he could do.    (02)

Thanks in advance for your help with this, and also for sending the 
letter to BT.  Will you be able to get the letter off this week?    (03)
